Apple CEO Tim Cook finally picks his Chief Operating Officer

Tim Cook took over from the late Steve Jobs as Apple's CEO in August 2011. Prior to that,Tim served as Apple's chief operating officer.similar career path and seems tipped to one day be the next CEO of Apple. Tim on Thursday announced new changes and additions to its operating and organizational structure, including a new COO,a position that had been empty since Cook, the previous COO, became chief executive just before the death of founder Steve Jobs from cancer.
Apple said that Jeff Williams has been named chief operating officer and Johny Srouji has been moved up to the executive team as senior vice president for Hardware Technologies.
