A company says Apple's iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus and Apple Watch used its patented technologies in their touch systems

The company, Immersion, has filed a series of complaints against Apple for infringing on patents related to the 3D Touch and Force Touch technology used on Apple devices.

The company, Immersion, said in a press release that it filed the infringement complaints against Apple and AT&T over three of its patents linked to haptic feedback. Immersion alleges that the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus and Apple Watch used its patented technologies in their touch systems, including vibration feedback for different touches and previews of actions at a light touch.

Immersion has filed multiple patent lawsuits over the years against technology companies, including Sony, Google, Microsoft and HTC, winning against Sony, Google and Microsoft.

"While we are pleased to see others in the industry recognize the value of haptics and adopt it in their products, it is important for us to protect our business against infringement of our intellectual property in order to preserve the ecosystem we have built and the investments that we have made in continuing to advance haptic experiences,''Immersion CEO Victor  Viegas said in a statement, ''We will vigorously defend the intellectual property we have developed when it is infringed."

Immersion said in the statement that it is seeking damages for the infringement as well as a cease-and-desist order to stop the products from being sold in the U.S.

Apple is also facing a class-action lawsuit for the infamous “Error 53” that has been bricking iPhone 6 devices. Apple is also caught up in another legal battle over iOS 9, which reportedly slowed down older iPhone 4 models, forcing people to buy new phones.
