Guardiola wants Neymar to be his first major signing when he arrives Manchester City

Pep Guardiola wants Barcelona Neymar as his first major signing when he arrives at Manchester City this summer. Neymar is already frustrated at playing second fiddle to Messi at Barcelona.

Manchester United and Real Madrid are also interested in Neymar , but the Pep factor gives City realistic hope of making the landmark signing that would confirm their status as one of Europe's biggest clubs.

Lionel Messi is the first Superstar Guardiola was interested in signing immediately he arrives Etihad  but  due to his strained relationship with Messi towards the end of his time at the Barcelona , attention has turned to Neymar, who would end up becoming the world's first £100million footballer.

Guardiola was the first figure at Barcelona to spot Neymar's potential as an emerging player in Brazil, even though the striker's protracted £49m move to La Liga was only completed after the manager had agreed to take over at Bayern Munich.
